12th Grade Computer Class - 5/01/09

Friday, 5/01/09, I will be teaching 12th Grade Computer Class.  I'm planning to do it mainly as a presentation, though for some parts I would want some audience participation.

Here are my planned topics:

• Internet safety
• avoiding viruses and other malware
• what to do if your computer gets a virus on it
  
• phishing
• email
  
• fun with Google

My presentation and other class material will be available on the Internet.

Also, I will have a special prize for the first 12th Grade student who tells me, at the beginning of class, that he or she read this post.  Well, the prize won't really be that special.   But it will be something!
